Gose, Sours, Lambic, Berliner Weisse & Kriek
Pronounced "Go-zuh". Gose ales are tart. They're salty. They smell like an ocean breeze, with coriander. Sour beer comes in many varieties, which have been refined over the decades in Germany and Belgium, where sour beer has long been popular. Other than Gose there's the light and tart Lambic beer, the fruity Flanders brew, the lemony wheat beer Berliner Weisse and Kriek beers that are fruity, sour and flavoured with cherries. We reckon Kriek could also be Belgian for pure happiness! You either love 'em or hate 'em.
